Job Overview

Salary ranges between $20 to $30 an hour based on qualifications and technical knowledge. Includes Employee Benefits (Medical, dental, vision and life insurance) Vacation and Sick Pay.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, is responsible for accurately estimating jobs, on-site, in Xactimate.
- Is responsible for taking photos of the job, when estimating the job
- Is responsible, at times, for gathering information from the field technicians
- Inputs estimate amounts into company database
- Customer service calls
- At times, negotiates estimates with insurance claims adjusters
- At times, explains the water mitigation process with customers
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Schedules appointments with customers to estimate jobs
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Estimator Supervisor and Operations Manager
- Reports to the office, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours
Qualifications and Skills
- Equivalent to a high school diploma and five years of construction, restoration and/or mitigation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Proper English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Basic mathematical computations and record keeping
- Ideal candidate will be proficient in Xactimate
- The ideal candidate will be currently employed at an Emergency Services Company, or an Insurance Company, as a property claims adjuster
- A satisfactory driving record, insurable under Cut N Dry’s automobile policy
- IICRC certified a plus but not necessary
- Basic water mitigation principles and practices
- Basic homeowners insurance policies/procedures as it relates to mitigation work
- Good customer satisfaction skills
- Time management
- Self-disciplined, self-motivated
- Punctual
- Computer applications related to the work (i.e. Word, Excel)
